A friend has a skin we thought we would try to cast. When looking at the back, it looks like there is paper on it. It came to him as set for taxidermy. Any ideas and will this still work for casting?

time and time again I see skins like this and wonder"what the heck", none of my diamondbacks look like that when I'm done tanning them. if done right, they should cast ok.

This is a cobra skin. We are giving it a shot. The glue bleeds through and darkens it, but we'll see how they come out. Thanks!

The friend has the skin now, so I can't get a pic of it. The white areas are smaller than the cobra I bought from you, Craig. It just seems slightly off. It was bought on ebay from Indonesia.
