My first bowl

Well, I'm out of pen kits. Today I decided to turn a bowl using an improvised face plate for my collet chuck. Its shallow, and small, but I like it. It now sits on my desk displaying some pens. The last pic. has a sierra pen in it for size. I had some massive tear out, but overall I'm happy. Turned start to finish with a carbide tool, BLO finish. Comments, questions and criticisms welcome.

I like it. It's a really clean piece. My first one is around here somewhere, and it just doesn't look that clean. Neither does my second one for that matter....

Nice piece of Holly, and you's is far better than my first bowl!!!

Thanks for the comments, it was a lot of fun to turn. Also, its just the right size to use as display for 5 or 6 pens!
