The March Update on the Midwest Penturners Gathering and things are looking great.

First – the schedule is up on the website, and it looks great. From some of our traditional demos like general turning from beginning to advanced, casting, and blank making to some annual topics like the state of the market – we have also added a marketing session for marketing your business. We also have a few MPG+ demos on boxes, small treasures, and small bowls. The sessions look great, and I cannot wait to attend.

This session is going to walk you thru the tools and the process of Kitless pens. Or Custom pens. Or Bespoke pens. You can call it many things in regards to making a pen from scratch. Starting with what type of Lathe to taps & dies to calipers to the type of metal for the clips. I specifically bring up clips because a lot of times clips get passed over. Clips are time consuming but well worth it. This is going to be fun.

Rob is a wealth of knowledge! He covers kitless in some manner each year because it is so desired. He's also a great guy and spends lots of time answering questions at the event. He knows his stuff!
