Finally finished this bugger and delivered it Friday evening. Guess that's all he was waiting for cause DIL went into labor 10 hours later! Another grandchild and another cradle. AND on grandma's birthday!!! 7lb 3 oz 20" and change. All healthy.

It's amazing how much lumber one of these things takes. Hard Maple frame and base, Oak spindles.

EDIT IN: I can not take credit for the spindles. Was under to tight of time constraints to produce them. Had planned to deliver it in a couple of weeks when the baby was "due". LOML decided to drop it off when we went to our Labor day show.

Nice heirloom there Tim and congrats on the new grandbaby. We got a new one a couple months ago...they're lots of fun.
