Hi Folks,

I don't expect to use often and not to defrost pipes. I have a good budget. I prefer non-Chinese tools if possible.

I've had a Master Mite 10008 for decades:

Mine says "Made in USA", but their web site says "Engineered and assembled in the USA using domestic and foreign parts"

I used it extensively for delicate electronics work, but these days I use it mostly for heat shrink. This is a relatively low flow gun; 3.8CFM, which is ideal for the electronics bench, but if you need to blast hot air, this isn't the tool you want.

EDIT: Master has some pretty high flow guns, such as:

I got one for free from HF this past year for spending a certain amount of money.

Seems to work fine.
My son bought one from Harbor Freight and as soon as he turned it on, it started smoking. He took it back and the manager said that's the third one we've seen come back today.
