I bought me one of these Wagner heat guns off Amazon a few years ago. Still works great!

The first 'assembled in America" heat gun looks just like the cheap Chinese gun I bought a Harbor Freight. Wonder who ripped off who?

Mine says "Made in USA", but their web site says "Engineered and assembled in the USA using domestic and foreign parts"
I used it extensively for delicate electronics work, but these days I use it mostly for heat shrink. This is a relatively low flow gun; 3.8CFM, which is ideal for the electronics bench, but if you need to blast hot air, this isn't the tool you want.

My son bought one from Harbor Freight and as soon as he turned it on, it started smoking. He took it back and the manager said that's the third one we've seen come back today.
