Hey folks, I have been lurking for a while, now I have a question.
A friend of mine played football at Oklahoma, and requested a pen in OU crimson. He was very specific about wanting a darker shade of red. I can't find an artificial blank that color, or a wood stain that seemed close either.
Any recommendations or suggestions? If someone wanted to cast one...or several...I would be willing to buy them.
While I was searching, I remembered a color I had seen on a chess set. I found it again at the House of Staunton website. They call it "Blood Rosewood". I can't find anything else called that on the web, So I am pretty sure it is just a certain wood or finish that they use. Any ideas about how to get that color? Is it just bloodwood? Freaking awesome chess sets, for freaking big bucks!

Thanks for any help, Frank
