Copper Beech Bowl

Copper Beech Bowl. When the largest Copper Beech in Connecticut finally died, some of the wood was turned over to local crafters. This if the second piece I received. Around 8" (20 cm) across. Finished with oil and polyurethane. This piece will end up in an auction in Shelton.

Nice workmanship beatiful color. I had never heard of copper beach either and was thinking I was going to see a beach bowl with copper high lights.

I had never heard of Copper Beech before I got this wood, but the collected pieces from our club all looked amazing. The wood can have phenomenal color and pattern.
