These are 2 pieces that the turner (me :redface accidently ploughed through.
Plate 1 &2 is Horse Chestnut with a Meranti saver.
Plate 2 & 3 is Sycamore with a Sapele saver.

Great saves! Those look to be a challenge even if they were an intended design.

Fabulous ideas and execution. I can't tell you how many 'funnels' I've made while intending to make bowls. I do believe I will be making 'savers' in the future.
