Anyone using a 10.2 x .5 tap?

That may be a hard one.

You might try a 10 x .5 in a loose hole to see if that would work if you can't find one. (10 x .5 if fairly easy to find, Ebay or industrial fastener suppliers and such)

Well I know where you are coming from... Schmidt piston filler!!!
It's a month that I'm going crazy with it, they say that the front is 10x.5, i bought a 10x.5 tap, threaded the section and it will not fit! So I get me the 10x.5 die, reworked the thread and now fits fine.
on the back, I was thinking to rework the thread to a 10x.5, but the metallic part has a too big diameter to let the die in... so I'm stuck.

My exact issue. But... The back section will come apart if you unscrew it. It's getting everything back together after that, though, that's a pain. I've ruined one and decided it wasn't worth it.
