This is a Zephyr pen in chrome and gunmetal from Turners Warehouse. The blank is a Diamond Cast called French Quarter, also from TW. I'm rapidly becoming a huge fan of Diamond Cast blanks, I have yet to be disappointed by one!

Another nice pen Jim. I think we need to partition Jeff into giving you a subforum in show off your pens just for your pens.:) You seem to do and show a pen a day. Have to hand it to you if you are that dedicated to this hobby good for you. I just went through a series of 5 or 6 pens and got bored. I am taking a little break before I get back into making another series of pens but can not find that drive. Keep up the good work and look forward to your next one. Happy turning.

I run hot and cold. Pens usually take a back seat to my other main hobby, model rockets. But it's seasonal, the clubs don't launch during the summer. And I don't know where we'll be with COVID once summer is over. I tell people that I started launching rockets as a kid. As I get older, the rockets get bigger and more expensive.

Cool Pens - and Cool Rocket Too.
It makes me want to drag my box of rocket parts out of storage.
What size engine? 29mm? I've never gone higher than C's (18mm).

Regards,
Dave

That particular rocket is 9ft tall and weighs 11lbs. I call her Bomber Betty. The motor was a J420 Redline, hence the red flame. The second photo shows the motor, it's a 38mm reloadable.

Wow! Thanks for the extra photos and information. Boy, did I ever misjudge the scale from the first picture! - What Fun.

that is a good looking pen sir. I, too, have been intrigued by the diamond cast but have not pulled the trigger yet. They look amazing and I would imagine they turn easy.

I highly recommend trying one. They turn very easily. I've turned several, and have yet to be disappointed. They are messy, though.
