Zen N Chechen.

[Ruby pen turning]

This is the first piece of Chechen I have put on a pen. i got around 5 of them from Johnm and they are some great looking wood. It has a rich look to it but kind of muted comparing to other burls I have done. It is finishes in the usual manner of CA sanded through all the colored pads and polished with novus.

awesome job on the finish. i love that pen. came to me as a pith, i want to make some but i don't think they have them up here.

Brian, Absolutely gorgeous pen (as usual:biggrin! I think you brought out the burl very well in both the pen and the pictures. Doesn't seem too muted..just a darker burl. The finish is like glass..beautiful job! Thanks for sharing. Regards, Doc
