Youth contests and the 2024 Bash.

In the past we have held contests for the children of our members. We usually split it into two age groups and had some success. My question is how many of you would have children, or grandchildren that would participate in a youth contest. Should we hold the contests at all, regardless of the amount of entries? Some years there were single entries in the different age groups. Thoughts?

I vote for there to be a youth contest even if few entries. Our first grand-daughter is only 16 months old, so she is a few months too early to enter . The effort to encourage IAP members' Children/Grandchildren to learn these skills is well worth it.

My 10 year old and 12 year old granddaughters participated in the last one and both are looking forward to this years contest.

Have had serveral youth in my shop learning the safe turning skill. Yes for sure.
