Congrtulations to all the young turners - all of these pens were just great!

I hope you will all sign up for the PITH if you haven't already done so. I'd be proud to swap a pen with any of you.

I do not see any flaws in any of these pens. Some really good work. As I said earlier, they are all winners. The future of pen turning looks very bright.

Congratulations to the next and best of IAP!

And I expect the parents (and kids) have some precious memories - I have a Pinewood Derby Car that I made with my Dad and it is special to me as we spent a lot of time together for that event.

Isaac wishes to thank everyone who voted in this contest. When the poll was opened, and all the entries were shown, Isaac's first comment was "I like them all!" Any one of those pens could have easily won the contest.

Isaac displayed a lot of patience while turning his pen. He has learned that patience pays off. He has always like spending time in the shop with me but this has really helped his self confidence. Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to all the young turners who entered.

Isaac was anxious to see how his pen would fare against the other four fantastic entries. His mother caught his reaction when he realized he had placed 1st. The picture speaks for itself.

Isaac has expressed an interest in participating in the current PITH and hopefully we can find the time to do that (He lives about an hour away from me). He and one of his younger brothers may be attending the 2016 MPG with me!

Isaac...

I would be very proud of the pen you made. It is beautiful!

I love the blanks and they were turned perfectly for the kit! Keep up the good work!

You did an excellent job! Patience is a well needed skill! All of us want to hurry and see the result, but many times 2-3 minutes longer would have resulted in a better result - Be Patient (not an easy task) :)!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Best Regards, Mark
