We homeschool our children, and spent a good part of the day yesterday at the annual Home School Convention here in OKC. Was on the way out, and ran into Les Smith (good to see ya Les!) One fun thing the convention started last year was an enttrepenuer area where young folks can set up boths and sell there wares. This year there was a young man with a pen table set up. He had a very nice selection, and did very good work. We talked about materials a bit. He had acrylics, buffalo horn, and woods, a computer board pen. We have to go back today for a bit, think I will stop by again!

That is really cool to hear! We Home school our 2 boys and have started including a lesson in the shop each day. They are both really young, 1 in Kindergarten and one in Preschool but it amazes me how focused they both get when we go out there.

Went back yesterday afternoon to pick up my kids art stuff and wandered over to their table again. It looked like they did pretty fair. Less pens than the day before on the table. They didn't have a card or anything, so I don't know if I will run into them again any time soon, but I did mention this group to them, so.......
