Don't do it. That is insulation. Helps keep your feet warm so you can turn in comfort.

good luck with that "kids out of the house" my youngest is back at home for the 3rd time after moving out. this time his significant other and my grandson. its growing not shrinking. at least they brought me a little helper.Ginger, Santa needs to deliver a kerosene heater for your shop!
A kerosene heater and a third stall. My husband is cool with parking his car in the driveway 3 seasons out of the year, but would draw the line if I made him scrape his car every morning.
There are plans for an eventual garage expansion (and a deck, and a covered walkway between the house and the garage and...) once the kids are out of the house and our money is our own again. At that point we can install a heater.
