It's hard to believe they won, they gave up more yards on penalties than the Vikings earned on offense, Glad your team won Cav. but I didn't have no horse in this race, if they play like that in their next game I don't think they'll be going to Disneyland.

Cav, I was in New Orleans (business) until Saturday, town was really festive and ready for the game. Unfortunately could not go to game.:frown:
I heard my brother-in-law yelling all the way from Midland, TX. He is a big Saints fan.

The next game will be tough, they need to get sharp, like a skew!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have excedded my expectations and its all downhill from here.( In other words I love em and even if they lose they are a winner in my book!!!!!

I have no horse in this race. I liked watching the game but it just seemed like the Vikings kept imploding. I think they lost this game more than the Saints won it.

Either which one who one, I think the Super Bowl is going to be another close game.

Too many turnovers. And the vikes got too conservative at the end of regulation. I really thought the way the kicking game was going for all teams this post season that the rookie for the saints would choke but he drilled it.

Go colts

ABSOLLUTELY!!!! on both thoughts

You're welcome, Cav - we certainly gift-wrapped that one for you!

(Not that the Saints didn't play well in their own right - but a few less fumbles (or even one less), and it would have been a much different game).

But congratulations anyway - Drew played VERY well - and he had great defense and pass protection too!

No horse in the race, but.....

I predict the Colts will win by a score of 27-13

I think, after watching both games, this is giving New Orleans more credit than they deserve.

I don't think the Colts will hand them the ball MORE THAN FIVE times, so they can win in regulation. All the NFC playoff games have been SAD. The AFC looks like football!!

(35-24 Colts)

To me it was like they both were trying to loose the game, too many cheap penalties, and far too many turn overs. I don't think Mr. Manning will be as kind to Mr. Breese as that poor old retiree was. with the defense that Minnesota had they deserved to loose by more than they did, so what does that say for the Saints besides they will be second best. I'm thinking along the same lines as Ed, 35 to 21 if the Saints get lucky.
[size=+4] !!!!!GO COLTS!!!!!

Ed , I really like your way of thinking ! A more realistic point of view .

I was pulling for the Saints, but thought the Vikes were gonna take it... until they kept turning the ball over. Too bad for Brett, though. Being the only QB to have made it to, let alone won, a superbowl with two different teams would have been a hard feat to match.

Re: the SB, I'm expecting a slugfest. Both teams have the weapons to get it done. Indy may edge the Saints out a bit in defense, but we'll have to see. At any rate, you heard it here first. The Saints win the superbowl by 3.

Congrats to Saints fans. You were the better team and deserve the win.

Vikes needed a few rules-changes to win:

1) Old QB's should be allowed to use mace against D-linemen who threaten them with physical violence.
2) Overtime needs to change to allow the visitor to go first
3) Stickum should be legal for running backs with a note from Mommy saying they suffer from TinyHands Syndrome

:frown:

(just kiddin' about the rules-changes. No excuses)

.

Wish I could have seen but I am so glad the Saints were able to do what my Cowboys didn't. Where are the Vikings fans hiding now???????????

The football gods delivered 'retribution' to Brett. He should never have 'piled' on vs. Cowboys. He got what he 'deserved', another farewll retirement. Maybe.

Saints, I'm pulling for you to beat Indy.

Peter,

There is little doubt that Brett WILL retire at the end of this year.

The question is, what will he do at the BEGINNING of NEXT year???

Too bad for Brett, though. Being the only QB to have made it to, let alone won, a superbowl with two different teams would have been a hard feat to match.
How quick we forget that Kurt Warner won Super Bowl XXXIV and MVP while he was a St. Louis Ram and took the AZ. Cardinals to the Super Bowl last year. Thus Brett would have been the second QB.

 you just ruined sportscenter for me for the next 6 months.

Hey, you just have NOT had fun until you have spent two full "off-seasons" watching Brett drive his garden tractor around his home in Miss. The last two years he was a Packer, that was where all the reporters went (to interview Brett) and we put up with this inane footage of him grooming his lawn.

Now, someone ELSE can watch him mow.

Brett has been a great asset to football. But, would you want to be under a pile of 300pound+ lineman at age 40?? He's really looking to get seriously hurt--and THAT would be a shame after playing so long.

Funniest thing I have heard in a while was said by the Saints radio announcer - Pigs have flown. Hell has frozen over. The Saints are on their way to the Super Bowl.

Yep, I was racking my brain trying to think of another, but missed Warner. Thanks for the correction! And on a personal note, Warner is actually class act and great role model. For those who don't know his story, do a little research. You might just be pleasantly surprised.
