This started out as a seat board from the high school bleachers. It was very dry, fairly brittle and full of farts. I ruined one before I slowed down and got this one. It is one of my modified slim lines.

I've been wondering what hard pine would look like in a pen. I've got a couple of trees in the yard that need to come down and did not know if it would be worth having some of it milled.
 
Looks kinda like antique heart pine to me. I like the way they look especialy the top pen. I like the way the rings go. Nice job and congrads on found wood.
 
I have a friend who reclaimed some church pews, and he calls the wood BUTT OAK.....People look at you really funny when they are trying to figure out where BUTT OAK comes from....LOL....
