we often snub our nose at woods like pine, some how it doesn't seem exciting. but this pen reminds me how nice it cane look. the custom cap piece is a nice touch.
 
Nicely done, including the custom finial on the top and I love how you lined up the grain for it too. Makes a big difference doing it like that.
 
Great looking pen. As pensbydesign said we sometimes don't look at our more common woods and just want to make exotics. It is funny that I am sure in some of these remote exotic places I bet they look at our common woods as exotic? Anyway nice pen and finial.
 
Well done Wayne, hoping you sell them quick....but would like to view them at the next meeting(kinda of a double edged sword thing there ain't it?)!!!!

The cap, as others have said, is the perfect touch. Is it threaded for removal if necessary or pressed on?
