Yellow Locust

I brought home some yellow locust today and cut up some blanks and have them sealed. Has anyone used this for pens or anything else? Looks like some nice wood.

Haven't done anything with yellow locust, but honey locust has some nice coloring. I'm making a few bowls and will make a pen or two out of some scrap pieces.

Here's a pen I did from Honey Locust. It didn't have much coloring but the wood was easy to turn and finish. It was rather hard but it turned great.
