Picked up this tray at a yard sale for $.50. Good for pendants or maybe some slim pens.

Any idea what the wood is? It's labeled made in the Philippines.

Despite no pics, if it is from the Philippines, it might be Monkey Pod. A large percentage of wooden trays, plates, salad bowl sets and other gift items sold to soldiers, sailors and airmen during the Viet Nam war time period were made from Monkey Pod.

Edit: Saw the pics. Looks like a lot of the Monkey Pod plates in my pantry.
