My grandfather was KIA in Germany during WWII when my father just two years old. He knew very little of his father. For the past seven months, a local history teacher and his class helped my father research my grandfather's life before and during his service to his country. To show his gratitude, my father asked me to create a pen to convey his appreciate for this wonderful gesture.

The pen is a gold and chrome Aero with a custom blank. The tube was wrapped with material that is correct to WWII uniforms, a WWII Victory ribbon was wrapped around it, and then cast in resin. Took many tries and lots of experimentation, but I finally got one to come out right.

Comments and questions are always welcome.

Roger, that is lovely! I like how the different ribbon colors have differing textures to the fabric. You did a wonderful job.

Great looking pen with wonderful background info. Your grandfather, and his fellow vets, allowed us to live the way we do today. Thanks to everyone in your family.
