I am looking to expand my line of turnings for joysticks. To do this I need someone to make some custom bushings for me. The first two sets of bushings are just like pen bushings. In fact I plan to use them on my 7mm pen mandrel. I want to make shaft covers for the two joysticks that I normally work with. One stick is 10mm and the other is 9mm in diameter. I would like 1mm of leeway and 2mm wall thickness.
The second set of bushings will help me make dust covers. These are 2mm thick disks that sit down around the base of the exposed shaft. I am looking for a set of bushings that will help me make them 38mm in diameter and allow for the bare shaft to go through. See above paragraph for the shaft diameters. The second set will allow the wooden shaft cover to slide through. I would also like some way of sanding the surfaces of these while on the lathe and apply a friction polish. Again these will fit my 7mm pen mandrel. I am open to suggestions of you see a better way to accomplish this.
Thanks for your help,
