well my name is Dave and I'm from Indianapolis,I'm a painter, drywall finisher
and wood finisher some 40 years now. New to turning bought a benchtop lathe
10"x18" I find myself spending most of my free time getting used to my new tools,have turned 3 pens 2 from kits and 1 from a oak dowel rod tried the
"bic pen" one I saw on the internet ,turned out great this could be habit
forming. Thanks for bringing me on board.....

Greetings from Westfield. On Sept 18th I'm doing a demo at Rockler and would like to meet you if you are available. The demo is on Nova Lathe and Carbide Tools and making the handles for the BBQ kit will be. But there can be discussions about other things too.
