On April 19 our church is sponsoring a wounded warrior retreat and I would like to present pen to each of the 28 wounded warriors that will be attending from all over the US. Would there be an interest from pencrafters in making a pen for this event?

My thought was that there might be members of IAP that would like to make a pen and donate to a wounded warrior for this event. If this could be possible we would need 28 pens total as that is the number of wounded warriors that my church will be sponsoring April 19th...If a member would care to make a pen for a wounded warrior it was my thought that the donating member could make a pen, write a card that would go with the pen and I would purchase display cases for each pen...The card would supply the name of the crafter along with description of the pen and provide their name and contact information should the receiver want to provide feedback to the crafter....If anyone is interested in doing this I can supply the ship to address and the contact person. The pens would be presented the evening of the ceremony. We are expecting to fill the sanctuary with around 2000 people that will attend. hey send me the pm with address. also a little note about what you think would be appropriate. i was thinking a woodcraft hart double twist with purple heart decal on lower barrel. i will send 3 pens for the deal if you like. let me know.

As always, turnout for causes like this from our forum is outstanding. Ray, I don't know what your total amount is so far, but if you need some more pens, please send me a PM, too.
 
Wow, The response for Pens for the Wounded Warrior Retreat on April 19 has been tremendous...We needed 28 and we now have 28 committed from the super members of the IAP...Thank you all so very much for your participation...I will be sure and let you know the outcome of that special evening on April 19th...I do believe that I have sent PM to all that have replied, If I missed someone please let me know...Thanks again...Ray
