BSea is a class act. He came to our local woodturning club and put on an excellent demo on casting with alumilite. I brought some maple burl caps that he cast into a bottle stopper for me. It turned out quite nice, thanks Bob! The only thing I'll change next time I work with the burl caps will be to stabilize them first. As you can see in the photo's there was a bit of color bleed over from the Alumilite dyes into the wood. I should have also used a better stopper for such a nice blank, but I don't have any on hand and patience is a weakness of mine...
