The person that got me started turning pens pens passed away, and his son has no interest in turning. So I have the opportunity to purchase a WoodWrite model 363 lathe and all his pen things. First off can you make anything other than "straight pens", second what is a used one worth?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Jeremy

Jeremy,

There was a template add-on that would make curved pens following the template. I never was able to obtain success with it.
I paid about $1000 for my 363.
I use it for straight cuts and making bushings.

For doing straight sided pens, it is a good machine. I don't know if it is worth the money I paid. The template duplicator was not worth it to me.

I don't think they are still in business as several members have tried to contact them over the past few years.
