I finished this one earlier tonight. If anyone knows what this wood is please chime in. I don't think that it is Tulipwood b/c I have some and it is more red/pink than this, but I am not sure.

I like the beads at the bottom. It does look like tulipwood, which can be found in lots of different shades. Was there a scent when turning? Tulipwood has a very unique odor when cut.
 
You did a fine job of turning and the mini beads add a nice touch. The use of a prop made it a good photograph as well. I like to show the lead in my pencil pictures, makes it look more like a pencil that way.
 
I am going to go with Tulipwood. As someone else mentioned, Tulipwood has a very distictive smell, which I love by the way [:)]
The Pencil looks great, I also love the beading
