There was some discussion recently about a MicroMesh group purchase, and I think that fizzled out when the savings per order wouldn't really justify the headache for the group buy organizer. For those who don't get the E-mails from Woodturningz, their E-mail from yesterday lists the following sale:
If you're looking to improve the finish of your pens then
Micro-Mesh is the first choice in a polish. Micro-Mesh does
wonders on plastic, wood, and bone surfaces. If you're not
currently using it you won't believe the difference it's
going to make in the final appearance of your pens. Our
kits come packaged with all 9 grades ranging from 1500 to
12,000 (note...grade not grit). First use the 4 roll sanding
set and then move through each grade of Micro-Mesh for an
unbelievable shine. Some pens will be so shiny you'll be
tempted to leave the finish off. Go ahead and apply the
finish though, as it protects the wood.
9-Piece Micro-Mesh Set @ $11.95ea or 3/$33.00!
======Plastic Finishing Kit======
The same abrasive you've come to love from Micro-Mesh
placed on a padded backing. While MicroMesh works great
on plastics some customers prefer the padded backing for wet
sanding their acrylics. 6 color coded 2 inch square padded
abrasive sheets make shining plastics easier than ever before.
***PKFINKIT on sale for only $12.95ea***
If you haven't tried MicroMesh, this is a decent price, and you'll be glad you gave it a try. Also, if you haven't ordered from http://www.woodturningz.com before, they are a reseller of Penn State Industries equipment and supplies (including pen kits) - anything you find in the PSI catalog can be had trough Woodturningz for less than PSI's price. They have even had some stuff in stock that PSI has on back order.
I'm a satisfied customer, but otherwise have no affiliation with them whatsoever.
