I just got back from the annual Woodcraft show. As expected, I spent WAY too much. If anyone is in the market for a new lathe, they're offering the 12.5" Delta with variable speed at 10% off with a free Nova G3 chuck. Naturally, I couldn't pass it up .

okay you win, lol i have yet to get my new lathe. i did just about empty the 3 dollar acrylics section though, that was a great deal.

Naw, you are safe! The hardware for a casket is more than $400. Plus be sure to put in your will that the casket should be made from amboyna or HRB.

That casket hardware cost has saved me a time or two

I bought that set of plans. Pretty nice if you wish to build your own.:biggrin:
This makes me glad we live three hours from our Woodcraft.

I would NEVER build one. Why you ask? Because Linda just might make me use it!

Not to mention just seeing it sitting there would give her ideas. Instead of sleeping on the couch she would send me to my casket.

$3 acrylics? Jackpot! They didn't have that at my store but I wish they would have. Maybe they did and I missed it. By the time I got there, they had already sold out of a lot of stuff. I had to order my lathe and chuck but they still let me have the deal so I went ahead and got the stand, too.

Why tell her

I'm at a loss that your spouse knows what you spend...I just tell mine that I got a new toy. I get away with that because I don't bug her about what she spends and over the course of a lifetime (ok so it's only 48 years so far) I suspect that she wins the spending contest in a walk over. My philosophy is that if she wants and the money is there she can have it...same for me.

Maybe it is a good thing to live so far from suppliers. But those types of sales are a lot of fun...(fun=expensive)
