Hello
I wanted to turn a pen this morning as I'm not sure what will happen after I see the foot specialist this afternoon. I want to that who ever it was that sent me the Snow Leopard blank it was a joy to turn and finish. I paired it up with a gold Woodcraft click. I wet sanded to 6000 mm and polished with Hut plastic polish. I tried to match up the pattern in the blank as best I could and I think it very close. Any and all C&C welcome.
In the instruction for this and other click pen it say to use a wood block with a hold drilled in t to protect the click button, I found that it easier to use the top bushing it the right side and you don't need a wood block for different size kits.

Dan,

Good luck on the visit to the doctor; here's hoping you get good news.

I saw this kit at my local Woodcraft recently but wasn't really looking for click kits, but I may have to go revisit after seeing your pen. Nice work on the fit and finish and that is a very nice blank. Did you encounter any issues while turning for this? It looks like it would be very similar to a standard slimline.

Michael

Michael; Thanks for the good wishes and nice comments. This kit tubes are about MM it uses a letter O drill bit. I chance one step in the assembly. I thread part D (threaded sleeve) on to part C (center connector) line up the grain and press that assembly in to the upper tube.

Dan, Glad to see you got it turned, did Evelyn claim it yet? Nicely done and glad you are doing better. Dave
Thanks for the great blank Dave and for your nice comment on the pen. Yes Evelyn did claim it and rightly so since I did make it for her, she clamed the blank the day it got here.

Pen looks good. very nice fit and finish.

I've never been a fan of these animal blanks as most people never think of what happens to the animal once they extract the blanks from them.

Thank Chris and Dale for those nice complements, Those blanks are shed many times a week and no harm ever come to the animal. Dale I put a put up under casual conversation titled Another Update if you like to find out how it went.
