For all the turners that have bought the woodchuck tool. Did you purchase the handle at the same time OR

how long did you make the handle?

I used an interchangable handle (Kelton I think) but several of the good metal handles on the market would work well.
 
I make all my own handles. I own 5 Woodchucks/Skoggers and the handles range from 6 inches up to 15 inches, all depends on what I am doing and my mood that day.
 
Made my own handle, I went out and cut down a piece of mesquite. Turned it to fit my hands and it is long enough to have good control when I move up to larger projects.

Love the little guy...
 
ken, was nice enough to send me one with the handle,since I had no way of making a handle yet. it's a great tool and great design, I recommend that to anyone who suffers from sharpening tool syndrome.
