First, thanks to all that posted about Dust Filtration. The choice is the Jet AFS-1000B.

Now, I ask where to buy 3 X 3 X 6 inch or 3 X 3 X 12 inch blocks for making peppermills with the grinder on top?

I bought some from Woodcraft but would like more choices of species.
All recommendations and/or advice is appreciated.

If you're ok with green wood, you can get spindle blanks in various sizes from

Just don't expect them to be pretty when they arrive. They are green wood that is pretty much cut and waxed and then sold. I got a shipment from them with the intent to cut into pen blanks, just haven't cut them yet.

I have purchased some in the past from Got Wood? (Got Wood? Domestic Wood Turning Blanks) It was a little over a year ago, but from what I recall the process was painless and shipping was very fast.
