Wood identity questions

I just visited a friends shop for the first time and he asked for help with these two. Thanks for your help.

Are they native or is this from an order. The burl can be anything. The board can be identified.

I visited a man's shop and he asked me to identify, I could not and requested help. I took photos and posted.

The board looks familiar but i just can not put my finger on it. I keep going back to Sapele but it is too light. I bet it is in the mahogany family.

That board resembles some old Ash that I'm cutting at the moment as for the first wood, I'm not sure, sorry...!

I don't know about the dark piece, but the light stuff is most likely this.
