Posted a while back that a friend brought me a Live Oak Burl from a downed tree on their ranch that I cut up and this is what it has produced thus far....SS Bottle Stopper and a Blk Ti Cigar....Comments and critiques welcome...

Very, very nice. I like the grain pattern of that wood. I will have to add that to my long list of blanks to try.

A chrome kit and polishing the SS part of the stopper would provide a near perfect match on the hardware. All wood parts are very nice.

Thanks guys.....this Oak Burl was very nice to turn...only a few real solid pieces were yielded so I even sent some to Eugene (El Mostro) to try his hand at casting some PR into the voids, holes, rot, etc....
