My computer is being bad this morning (worse than usual) When it booted, my desktop was blank with a message in the middle that was so small I couldn't read it, it had to be 3 pt type. I restarted the computer and it came back to what seemed like normal. But, when I opened my browser (IE) the main screen looked OK but the type in the address bar and the tabs is very small (maybe 6-7 pt type. Barely readable with my old eyes. Anyone have a way to reset the font size in the address bar & tabs? It is about the same in Chrome also, especially the tabs at the top. I have tried changing the screen resolution but that doesn't help

Forgot to mention -- the print under my desktop icons are small also. The icons are OK but the print is very small. I do have the setting in Windows screen resolution set to larger type.

Haven't tried going back to a restore point yet. I guess that's next.

HELP!!

Presuming you are using WinXP...don't know if it will help, but you can try..

-Right click anywhere on your desktop
-Should have 'display properties window' now open
-There is a tab named ' Appearance'
-Font size setting is on towards the bottom

Good luck..!!!

The default font size for your computer may have been adjusted. What version of Windows are you using? Someone will be able to steer you in the right direction to chagne it.

My cat changes mine all the time. Try holding "CTL" down and scrolling up or down with your mouse. Sometimes that works with display type size without affecting the graphics.

Well, for reasons I can't explain, my computer is back to normal. I did reboot (although I had rebooted twice before with no change) and all is back. BTW I am using Win7 Home. All I can say is ???? & I used to love computers but I'm getting to hate them!!

WOW!! I just tried the 'scrolling while holding Control' That's cool. But, it does change the type and the graphics (icons) on my computer. Thanks for the tip.

Jeff, this MIGHT be a good time to back up your data! Just in case you have a hardware issue and this was just a warning.
