I just received some Dayacom rollerball pen kits from timber bits.

I was just wondering if the blanks for the zen pen will would for these Dayacom pens?

I have not yet turned a zen pen. How long are the zen tubes?

I see that they are 10.5mm the same as the Dayacom.

Why I ask is because I just ordered a feather blank for a zen pen. I am thinking about using it on a Rhodium Dayacom rollerball, instead of a Zen.

Thanks

There is a common belief that if the "hole size" is the same for two kits, they MUST be the same diameter. This is NOT ALWAYS correct!!!!!!!!!

The important measurement for using a kit is the INSIDE DIAMETER, where your kit parts are "press fit". Very rarely does anyone even mention this measurement!!

BUT YOU SHOULD!!!

I have the Zen tubes from Exotics. the bag is marked dayacom
Measurements
O/D .4005 -10.17mm
I/D.382 - 9.70

I meant the pen kit called the "Dayacom", The ones that timberbits sells.

Anyway I ordered a few, and yes the tubes are the same, just the bushings are alittle different.
