My Wifey asked if I could turn seam rippers for a couple of her quilting friends. How could I refuse?... I like to turn!

The first is an acrylic which her friend picked from my stash of blanks.

Second, is from a Mango burl blank. On this one, I used a sanding sealer followed by about 5 coats of spray lacquer and buffed. This one is a surprise gift for this quilting friend.

I think both will enjoy these.

Great work. The best I have seen. A quilter once asked for a ripper and the request she had that stuck with me is that one side be flat so that it would not roll off the table.

Thanks everyone for the likes and encouraging comments!

John, I too have thought about the rolling factor. As you can guess, I don't like the clip that comes with the kit.
I am thinking about multi axis turning to either make a flattened or 3 lobed body on the next ones.....stay tuned.....or I could use a button as a roll stop!

Both look great! As the others have mentioned, that finishing touch on the ends...really set them off!
