Ever wonder why GOD created the workshop? So we could still have a marvelous day in our shops when he decides to dump over a foot of snow in late March!

Here is a shot off our patio at 8AM and another around 4pm and a third taken from the shop window! It's now 9PM and it hasn't let up at all and is expected to snow throughout the night and into tomorrow!

I guess I'll have a lot more shop time tomorrow!

Today was pretty brutal since the wind was blowing 30 mph most of the day but it finally died down. You may say.... "you can keep it", BUT........... do you know how relaxing it is to sit in a hot tub in 104 degree water catching snow flakes on your tongue and sipping hot chocolate! Priceless!

That sounds real nice. Lucky you.

well it will be damn near 80f Degrees here in Michigan

Contrary to what alot of folks think, Arizona is not ALL desert, our home where we rasied all the kids is at 8,200 ft in elevation in the White Mountains of AZ just about 60 miles east of George there in Showlow and there have been many times when I had to try and get the kids to school that I was pushing snow over the hood of my 4WD trying to get to the main road!

It is some of the most Beautiful country God ever made!!! Wish I was there now ! I don't think I would want to be sitting in the hot tub with George (sorry George, but you're just not my type, no offense intended, but you're just not cute enough old son!) but I do wish I was sitting in front of the fireplace looking out the window and watching it snow!!!

That does sound nice, but so does cruising around in the sports car with the top down on March 18th in Northern Pennsylvania.

Well, we sorta missed Spring all together, here. We went directly from Winter to 90 degrees, yesterday.

Additionally, we have a "sorta snow" of our own. 90 weather and about 1/2 inch of pine pollen coating everything BEFORE St. Patrick's day ISN'T as much fun as sipping hot chocolate in a hot tub.

I sure am glad I live in Michigan. It will be in the eighties. I really miss the snow specially when it comes to pictures. I like the change in seasons.

Before I moved to Arizona 18 months ago I lived in Wisconsin for 5 years, where I was born. Before that I lived in Australia for some 45 years (geez I'm getting old :frown: ). When I decided to move back to USA one of the things I was looking forward to was SNOW. After a couple years of shoveling the stuff my thinking has changed. Sure it looks good and can be fun to play in ... as long as someone else has to shovel it.

That hot tub and hot chocolate would sound good if it wasn't so HOT here. Enjoy it while you can.

Who are you kidding. You still have the cover on, and it's covered in snow.

BTW, is it true that it's a requirement to own a hot tub in AZ?

Please keep that stuff and don't send it our way. I am enjoying the warm 80 degree weather. Grilling, shorts, flip-flops and ice cold beer.

Well, I'ts pretty, but I'm glad you have it and not us. Winter by-passed the Missouri Ozarks this year and I'm loving it.

:biggrin:Does your spa cover have snow load specs?

No but it has a built in snow gauge, when it starts sagging in the middle, broom off the snow! When we were building, my initial thought was to sink it into the ground out in the yard away from the house and build a snazzy patio around it. After the builder and his superintendent stopped laughing they explained to me the reality of living under tall pines and in snow country.

We ended up putting it close to the house with a 9' deck above it and the house roof also extends out 10' to cover the deck so all the spa gets is a little wind blown snow.

You start to see it get covered in the first picture. In the 2nd it is really covered.

Here in good ol' Kentucky we only have tow seasons, Winter, Winter, Winter, SummerSummerSummer then back to Winter. This year we missed Winter. It only snowed 2 times and if you were not watching real carefully, you missed those 2.
Charles
PS; Ernie may have had a slightly different experience:biggrin::biggrin::tongue:

Charles there was no winter here. Just 2 or 3 days of snow. Had a crazy tornado and a few floods. Now it's friggin hot!! 88 degrees with 95% humidity. I really hate the ohio valley. If it weren't for a few people i'd be out of here. The summer's never bothered me until the kidney transplant, now the med's make me hot all the dang time.

Well winter past us this year and we've been in drought conditions up until today, so far 4 inches and it's still coming down with more for tomorrow through Thursday. Up until today we've had high 70's the last two weeks...Crazy....

Love the White Mts. of Arizona. Did some trout fishing there in the summer of 63. Beautiful part of the country.

BTW, 76 here in upstate NY today (a record). Will be 80 on Wednesday.
