Because they are standing on the deck…

Okay - it's a gimmick pen. But it came about when my partner said that the blank looked like islands and water.

Woodturningz Pirate with another of gerryh3333's hybrid cherry. I'm a little leery of buying another of these kits as the fit was just a smidge to tight - the tube bent and gave a small crack to the blank when fitting the 'head'. I'd thought that specularite X would have been a bit more prominent too, but I can work with it as a subtle detail as a talking point. Pirate1.jpgPirate2.jpgPirate3.jpg

Just to carry on with the pirate jokes, I was in a bar and asked a pirate how he lost his eye. He said he looked up to see what the weather was going to be like, and a seagull plopped in his eye.
I told him that I didn't believe him and that such an incident would not lead to him losing his eye. He said it would if you have a hook instead of a hand!
Please feel free to laugh or groan as you prefer!!!
