I have never seen one with gold in it.

HOWEVER, WoodCraft does have blanks made for them and with 500 outlets, if it does not sell fast, they don't reorder. So, yes it is VERY possible you saw it once and won't see it again.
 
If Ernie doesn't have it, I don't know who does. WnW, woodturningz, rockler, woodcraft, berea, AZS and wooden pen pro all don't have it. I have one I think, if you want it pm me.
 
ed & dawn's is the closest I've seen. I suppose I could reverse paint it gold to get that in there.

next time I order from them I'll get one to try it out.
 
We do suggest you paint the tubes BECAUSE I have seen sections that are clear. So, in the finished pen you MIGHT see the tube in a couple places----but I would not try to convince you it was gold flecks---cause it ain't!!!
 
It seems like I've purchased this at Woodcraft, but I don't see it on their website now either. I may still have one or two down in the shop - I'll try and check tonight.
 
I sent a message to the Ebay seller in the UK to see if they'd sell a 6-pack (or more) of blanks in just that color. $22 for 6 is not a bad price, depending on what they want for a shipping charge.

I do have one left in my acrylics box - you're welcome to it Shawn - PM me your address. (full disclosure - I rounded & polished about an inch one one end, to get an idea of what the finished piece would look like, but there's plenty of material left for any pen kit you would want to use)
 
I appreciate the offer, Steve.

I got a response from the Ebay seller - it only comes in a 6-pack of the pictured colors, and they don't know of a US distributor for just that blank...so I guess I'll keep looking.
