Hi peoples,
Is not rare that I get requests to make some Resifill type blanks/castings, for all sorts of uses and sizes, recently I had a request to make 4 (four) handgun grips blanks for a 1911 style handgun.
The request was for 4 sets (booked matched) made from my #30 Bottle Brush Root, stabilized and cast in coloured resin. This person saw the various cuts and natural wood effects possible from this Bottle Brush Root of mine and wanted some of those characteristics as part of the final result so, this is what I come out with;

About 2 weeks later they arrive to their destiny and the blanks were sent to the person that would work them into 1911 grips, I believe the person that worked on them, specialises on this type of work.
A few weeks later I get an email from the gun owner, showing me the 4 finished grips that he had just received from the grip maker and here they are, great workmanship no doubt...!

They are just too pretty, to not been shown so, making the blanks alone is only part of the requirements, the person that shaped and finish these grips have to be acknowledged also, and this is my stamp of approval to him...!
This morning, I got another email but this time, the handgun owner decided to dress his old girl with the new grips and take a pic of each set.

This 1911, has had lots of action and I have no doubt, is still a functional as it was when new, these are some though workers...!
I can just imagine how these grips would look in a chrome or stainless 1911, would be out of this world, for sure...!
So folks, male and female, knock yourselves out...!
Thanks for looking...!
PS: Yes, you are free to comment...!:wink::biggrin:
Cheers
