All part of the learning process. I have a notebook full of failed attempts so I know what not to use later. Lol. Try 2 part clear epoxy. It doesn't eat paint and resin works well with it.

There are different kinds of clear spray paints/finishes that are used to seal other soluble paints. This is not uncommon in the "finish" world. One must know the type of finish under, type needed as a sealer and a little time to let the curing take place; then add the final finish.
Spray it with clear. Solution solved
