I went with snakewood bc I haven't seen anyone turn it for quite a long time now. best of luck with cracking issues though!

Hey Brooks803,

I got extremely lucky and I snatched a really nice blank 2x2x12" on eBay. The piece has been 7 years in wax before I bought it. No crack of any kind, top shelve piece. I turned a few pens and they are fine, the blanks for my aero are faced and turned round since this summer.

Here is the last snake I turned. The one I have now is tighter patterned, snakewood is soooo fun to turn, really DENSE!
