OK, It's Sunday and CSA is closed.:(
I just cut and glued my first Jr Gent II and realized I don't have the right size barrel trimmer shaft for the larger of the tubes.:(:(
Woodcraft here I come. ( I knew I could find an excuse to go)
But, what size shaft does it use, or at least CLOSE. I know, just take the tube with me, but I want to call first to check stock.

Ron,
I just measured the inside of the larger tubes and glued up and turned some scrap wood over 7mm tubes that I use with my regular 7mm mill trimmer.. I have sizes that run from 10 to 13 mm set up this way.

CSUSA and maybe a couple of other suppliers, sell material you can turn to size to use with the mills..

The heck with material - use whatever you have available.. Do what chuck said. Glue to a 7mm tube and turn - corian works great, hard wood would be ok too.

This works fine for me.

I don't think they make any in that size - I was at WoodCraft today to see what was the max size they carry.
It looks like 10mm was the maximum. I think the larger barrel takes around 10.5 mm (a bit less).

I have picked up high Density plastics made out of white Delrin that someone on this website was selling for that purpose at a somewhat cheaper price. AS does sell a few pre-made - but I don't think in a size that will work for the pen your are trying to finish.

I think this is the link I used to buy some plastics - useful for other projects
