one of those nice single pen holders I see in a lot of the nicer photos? I have found multiple holders but I want a single to hold a pen while I photograph it. Thanks!

Occasionally there are group buys - somebody may be willing to sell you a couple - they are reasonable (buckish)

I make mine - Piece of acrylic, heat gun, slow heat on edge of desk, piece will drop into a bend. Simple.

I also just made mine using a small piece of plexiglass (approx 1" x 9" long), heat as Ed mentioned but I used a candle instead (keep it moving so as not to over heat any area).

I advise you to make a sample/pattern with cardboard first and see if it works properly before making the real one.

In an harshly-worded e-mail from ANONYMOUS, I have been told the pricing is higher than I expected.

Back to Do It YOURSELF - cost is negligible.

Or...if you don't want to DIY, I sell them on my website for $5 each, half-price for IAP members, but you have to email me through the forum.

Try this link...http://www.nilecorp.com/products.asp?sku=1731.
Hey Ed, maybe this will quiet some of those "harsh" words.
Tim

There you go, you can't buy it for ANY price at nile corp (that's where the group buys were, I believe and DELIVERY was ALWAYS a problem - they got em, but they got OLD, waiting!!!)

So, take DCB up on HIS offer - always a quiet, generous, nearly "saintly" source.

(Does that make 18 worthwhile posts, now, Lou???)

OR, take a 5/64" drill bit and drill at a slight angle 1/4" into a scrap of wood. Remove the drill from the bit, leaving the bit in the wood. Cover with a piece of cloth or paper, remove the refill from the pen and insert said drill bit into pen and VOILA, DIY stand fer nuttin'!
Take a look in my album. I have 4 photos using this method, see if you like it.

I tried to do a bulk buy on them a couple of months ago. as usual Niles was out of stock. They expect to get more any time between now and never. As in they have no idea.

I like that!! Great Pens and stand!!!

I ordered a few stands from Niles about 7-10 days ago and received them yesterday. Even had a 5% internet discount. They do seem to be out of stock from time to time. But if you can find them when they run free shipping, that's a big savings for a small order.

THANKS! Rick that is a great ideal! Not only saves me a few dollars but I can make one anytime I need to and with next to no cost. And I like the look better as well.

On second thought, I think I'll get a stand as well, that way I can do both.
