Can you guess? First shot in a corn field.
I wanted to cast this for some time now but had to
wait for the season to open to get the feathers.
This is what I call pheasant under poly resin.

Very nicely done. I've tried that twice and had a wretched mess both times.[:(] But, I didn't try casting it. Did the resin do anything to the color of the feathers?

Yes the meal was good.
CA glued the feathers to the tube.
No the resin did not change the color of the feathers but the
CA made everything darker than the natural color.
I did paint the tubes with butter pecan acrylic paint.
Goose & duck seasons are open and hope to get another good meal [:D]
and turkey season is up next.
I think you will see some of the other feather pens.

Its been awhile since I whacked a pheasant. Great looking pen Alan,
Doesn't get much better, a good hunt, taisty dinner and you get to carry your trophy around [:)]
