I just picked up this maple burl but I'm not sure which would be the best way to slice it up. Looking for pen/bowl blanks and maybe a slice to use in a cutting board design. Any ideas?

My preference would be to get several "face grain" pieces which are at least 3/8 thick. Then, I would cut some 3/4 by 3/4 x 2.5 pieces for Sierra kits. I might also try to get a few longer blanks, maybe 7/8 x 7/8 x 6 or so.
