It has a grain pattern like snake wood but if thats its natural color I would guess wenge. In my experience with it, it's a splintery large grain African wood.

I've had leopard wood and it tends have a nobbed/bumpier surface than snake wood. LeopardwoodI have had some "leopard wood" in the shop with similar pattern -- Not nearly as dense as snakewood.
The term "Leopard Wood" gets bandied about with wood vendors and can mean several different species.
Grab bags usually get made of off cuts and less than premium stuff so suspect that snakewood is not the highest probability.
