What to do with scrap wood

I was bored, went into my garage and gathered up some of the extra blanks and this is what I made. Success or failure? I will let you decide.

Yeah, it looks good! What did you use between segments? What did you use to glue the segments together?

I really like that! I'm not too fond of how busy the heavy segmented stuff gets, but yours is just the right amount of 'interesting' without being overdone. I really like those Retro kits, and you've done that one proud. Nice work.

I made this pen using Redheart, Cherry, and Coccobolo wood. I did the glue up using CA glue because I was out of wood glue. I followed some of the suggestions from other memebers in the library forum on how to make a segmented pen. It was all trial and error. I learned a lot about what not to do the next time I try this.

I think it works well as a "patchwork" pen. The colors go together well with each other and the kit.
