What is this?

I picked this up from Woodcraft for $1 several weeks ago. Thought it looked interesting. It's green on the outside and very fragrant (smells really good). The grain pattern is amazing!

Sorry for the bad picture. It's not yellow.

I put it between centers to round it. Now have to decide what to do with it.

My WC has a box of those for $2 each right now. From what I understand it will turn green again.

If you take a close look at the grain length wise and you see what looks like a close up of a feather, then it is definately LV.

Osage would not be green (bright yellow turning to Golden brown with age):wink:

I know Osage very well, it grows everywhere around here. The turned portion of the black doesn't show any green on my screen. Maybe another pic would help when the blank is fully turned.
